Hand-tufted wool feels quite dense and sturdy underfoot. Colors are sharp, though the 3x2 ft size is a bit smaller than I imagined for my main door.

New Zealand wool gives it a premium structured feel. It is not as soft as a shag rug but fits the sneaker theme perfectly. A few loose fibers at the edges.
