Toastd note

Why you'll love it.

The deep neelam blue of this kurta is achieved through small-batch dyeing, giving it a depth that machine processes cannot replicate. It is a thoughtful choice for weddings or formal gatherings, where the weight and texture of genuine Kannur handloom set it apart from standard cotton tunics.

Handwoven cotton feels breathable and the neelam blue is quite striking. One small thing, the straight fit is a bit tighter around the shoulders than I thought, but it looks sharp.

Beautiful jacquard work on this piece. Mandarin collar is stiff enough to hold its shape. I just wish the tailoring was a bit faster, but the quality from Kannur is evident.

Waiting time was significant since they only stitch after ordering. Fabric is thick and the weave is clearly manual, but the blue shade is a lot darker than the photos suggested.

bahut accha kurta. You can see the effort in the manual jacquard weave. Knee length is perfect for my height and the colour hasn't faded after the first wash.

Cotton quality here is exceptional. It feels sturdy yet soft on the skin. I like that it is made to order in small batches.

this is proper craftsmanship. Neelam dye used here is deep and even. It fits exactly like a straight cut should.

  • Cut: Straight knee-length silhouette with a mandarin collar
  • Sleeves: Full-length sleeves for a formal profile

Each piece is produced at a slow pace, with weavers completing only three metres of fabric a day compared to industrial mass production.
