Suede is deep black and looks very sharp. The vegetable tanned lining is soft enough for all day wear, though the leather welt makes the sole a bit stiff initially. Needs some breaking in.

Jaeger elastic feels a bit loose on my ankles. For a hand-welted boot, I expected a much tighter fit around the opening. It doesn't sit right with my slim trousers.

Hand-welted construction is solid. Argentinian leather welt is thick and looks like it will last years. Just wish the suede was a bit more plush to the touch.
